Two Cent Pieces 1864-1873

The short-lived two-cent piece was introduced as an act of Congress on April 22, 1864.  Mintage of the two-cent piece was from 1864-1873 making it one of the shortest United States coin series ever produced. This coin was produced for general commerce and in a Proof collector version.
