The 1994 Prisoner of War Memorial Silver Dollar was one of three similar silver dollar commemorative coin programs including the Women in Military Service Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Dollars. This coin was issued for the Prisoner of War Memorial Museum to be built in Andersonville, Georgia.
